AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation, a mission-driven non profit, sought to bring their evidence-based, early childhood instructional model to Texas. Cathy was brought in to:

• Navigate Texas Education Agency requirements to become an approved curriculum

• Provide input and feedback to create a Texas version of the Every Child Ready prekindergarten curriculum

• Connect AppleTree to Texas leaders and educators

• Review funding proposals

• Craft an effective communication strategy

 

AppleTree now has a clear communication strategy for Texas. Every Child Ready achieved the recommended threshold across all domains and a perfect score on most domains in the Texas Education Agency’s Resource Review process. Texas districts can now adopt Appletree’s curriculum for use in prekindergarten classrooms.
