The Junior League of Waco’s volunteer work was focused on early childhood, but the impact felt a mile wide and an inch deep.  Cathy was brought on to define a more specific strategic focus. Over the course of two years, she helped the League design and launch new programs focused on access to quality Pre-K. 

 

Key contributions included:

• Facilitating sessions between members to clarify focus area

• Facilitating sessions between members and organizational leaders to determine community need 

• Providing long-term planning and year 1 targets

• Designing program plans

• Supporting budgeting

• Pitching new programs to more than 100 members at the General Membership meeting 

• Creating implementation plans for six programs

• Supporting each team to launch new work

 

Thanks to this work, the League has contributed incredible woman-power and social capital to increase Pre-kindergarten enrollment -when the Waco's school district was loosing students due to COVID. 

 

Cathy has tremendously helped us find clarity in our community focus. Her expertise in the realm of early childhood education sets her apart from others. She is professional, responsive, and organized. I strongly recommend Cathy-she is the best Early Childhood Consultant.
