ABOUT PARADIGM SHIFT

Cathy Doggett, Ed.M. Founder

Cathy is an advisor to nonprofit and school leaders who want to move from ideation to action.  She helps leaders and coalitions re-imagine what’s possible and create actionable plans. She can manage the big picture and the details of complex projects. Work includes design, strategy, planning, and implementation.

Current projects:

  • Strategic guidance, coaching, and planning support to design sustainable coordinated care models in MHMR Tarrant County’s Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Initiative.

  • Leadership coaching to help to design and launch new programs, up skill staff, and operationalize Help me Grow and Fatherhood plans. Establishing and implementing goals to address non-medical drivers of health.

  • Strategic guidance, planning, and project management to help AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation partner with Texas public schools and early education programs to strengthen prekindergarten quality.

Cathy has devoted her broad expertise and energy to improving the lives of young children and their families for over two decades. Her experience is diverse.

As leader of a program to raise kindergarten readiness, she coordinated 20 schools and a team of instructional coaches to transform pre-K teacher quality.  As a grants manager, she helped align giving to research-based practices. At the state level, she supported multiple procurement processes - designing grant evaluation tools and scoring applications. As an educational trainer, she provoked “aha” moments to shift practice.

Cathy is a graduate of Oberlin College and earned her Masters in Education from Harvard University.  She founded Paradigm Shift to shifts mindsets and catalyze powerful change for children, families, and communities.
